New Adult Sunday School Series on Saint Peter

Beginning October 2

We will start a new study upon Saint Peter.  We will be using material published by Adam Hamilton (United Methodist pastor in Kansas).  We have used some of his material in the past.

Join Us Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m.

The title of the study is Simon Peter: Flawed but Faithful Disciple.  Peter was an ordinary fisherman who heard an extraordinary call.  He was not rich or educated, but was familiar with hard work.  He was quick-tempered and impetuous, but possessed a passion that would change the world.  He left everything to follow his teacher, yet struggled with doubt and fear.

There are six sessions, but depending upon discussion the study may last a little longer than 6 weeks.

Below are the session topics:

· The call of the fisherman

· Walking with Jesus in the Storms

· Bedrock or Stumbling Block

· The denial of knowing Jesus

· From Cowardice to Courage (forgiveness and restoration)

· The rest of the story (faithful disciple and witness after Jesus’ ascension)
